Surprise, Surprise

So we have been holding out as long as possible, but it is hard to hide now and we spilled the beans over Thanksgiving. Killpack #3 will join us in May. We are hoping for a girl, but we are super excited for either. It is quite cute because the boys didn't know and Payton came up to me and asked if I had a baby in my belly. I told him yes. He got a big smile on his face and said, "I want a sister." Then Cameron chimed in to say he also wants a sister. So there you have it.

We still live.

Hi all, yes we are still alive. I feel like I have no time to sit at the computer anymore, unless I am quickly paying a bill. But I finally have time this afternoon, so here is a quick post.
We are still in Laramie, Nate is finishing up his last semester and will graduate in December. We have started applying for jobs and who know where we'll end up. I am just happy to be taking a step forward in life and be out of the schooling phase. Nate eventually wants to get his master's so we'll be doing school again, but it will be way different when that happens.
Payton is going to preschool at one of the elementary's in the afternoons and loves every minute of it. I love to see him so excited about learning and hearing about what he does in his class. Cameron is right in the middle of the terrible two stage and loves to push my buttons. He loves Little Einsteins and carries them around with him where ever he goes. It's a good thing we have a few of them, he tends to lose one or two every now and then, but we always have some for backup.
I was working a little in Sep. and Oct. but I am done now. I am glad to be back home and trying to keep up with the housework. The boys seem to be able to wreck the house 10 times faster than I can clean, but I'm ok with that. They do a good job helping out.

"YOU'RE A GOOD GIRL"

It's official, I am a good girl.
I was cutting the boys some cheese for a snack and gave each of them 2 pieces. That's when Payton says, "Hey, you gave us each 2 pieces. You're a good girl."
Really, life can't be much better when you have this kind of admiration from your children.

I should have known...

that talking about the weather would make it change. I woke up this morning to this....

That's right. SNOW! And it is not stopping. This is our car at about 10 this morning, now it has more on it. But hey, at least I got a decent tan out of all this crazyness.

Warm Weather

You know the weather is decent in Laramie when it is still April and I have a sun burn! I went out walking with Stacie this morning (she is doing everything she can think of to get that baby out) and then let the boys play at the playground for a little bit. The sun was out and there was no wind, I repeat: there was no wind! When we came in for lunch I thought my arms looked a little pink so I asked Nate and he said he maybe could see a line on my arm but not really. Well, I took a nap this afternoon and when I woke up there was definiately a line. So both of my arms are sunburned as well as the back of my neck. I can't complain though, it is nice to finally be able to go outside and enjoy it without getting blown away.

Grandpa Walker is starting them young

We went to Green River and Mountain View for a little break last week. It was pretty nice to get out of Laramie and enjoy some decent weather. Payton had a blast playing with his cousins. He did a sleep over and then had Paxton and Wes come over to Grandpa and Grandma Walker's for a TRANSFORMER party. It wasn't much, they watched the cartoons and played with transformer toys, but they sure did have a blast. I was able to get a picture of Payton with his cousin Paxton relaxing in grandma's chair. They had just started the cartoons and were waiting for Wes to come over.
Payton got to go on the tractor with grandpa to feed the cows. Dad said he went to get out of the tractor to cut the strings off the bales and Payton said to him "Grandpa can I come out, I'm a good helper." Honestly, how can you resist such a cute statement. The funny part is that his way of helping is by grabing a handful of hay and trying to feed the cows instead of pulling strings. Oh well, at least he had fun.
Another time we went to feed with a different tractor and Payton was so excited to go with grandpa again, he kept talking about it the whole way there (about a 10 min. drive). When we got there he got out of the burb (suburban) and started to go with grandpa, then he turned around and came running back to me. I asked him why he wasn't going with grandpa and he said "that tractor doesn't have a chair." Apparently he can only go with dad in the new tractor because it has a buddy seat for him and the old one doesn't. I tried to explain to him that I went with grandpa all the time in the old tractor when I was little and I never had a seat, all I got was a pile of strings. He looked at me like I was crazy and still refused to go. So instead I got Cameron out of the burb and we chased each other around the stackyard while dad fed the cows.
Payton loves to get up and run on top of the stack just like I used to. Here he is doing a little pose for me.
My dad was watching a cattle auction on afternoon while we were there and both boys thought it was so cool to see the cows walk across the screen. They would watch a group and then run around in a circle until the next group came on. I was laughing and told dad he sure was starting them young. So here are a couple of pictures of them watching with Grandpa.

A little behind

So, I know I am way late in updating the holidays, but here goes.

Thanksgiving was awesome. We went to Mountain View and got to spend time with all of my family. Nate got to play in the Turkey Bowl this year, he was quite dissapointed he missed out last year. He had fun trash talking and made some pretty good plays. I got to play in a volleyball tournament with Chan, Olivia, and 3 of my cousins. I had fun playing and was quite sore the next day. I guess a day of volleyball will do that to you.

Cameron hurt himself, I know surprise, surprise one of my boys hurt themselves. Anyways, he was climbing on a bar stool and it started to tip over on him. Instead of letting go he held on and actually helped it fall on him. It hit him square on the mouth, nocked his 2 front teeth loose, and broke his top jaw. His teeth are still sensetive but he at least lets us brush them now.
We also had my sister take an updated family photo. She took quite a few of us, but you know how boys are, and mine definately don't like to hold still. Also, I wasn't even thinking about our dark hair and the dark background, but there you have it.

Nate and Payton making a gingerbread house.
They made a pretty big mess, which they did clean up,
and had a great time doing it.

Christmas was spent here in a snow storm. Nate had to work since he got Thanksgiving off, so this was our first Christmas spent at our own place. We had fun. Nate kept telling me he was going to wake the boys up at 6 and get started with the presents. I told him that they couldn't do anything until I was there and I was not getting out of bed until 8 at the earliest, and if they started without me then mommy and Santa would take all of the presents back. It all worked out though, Nate was tired from staying up and wrapping presents and the boys didn't get up until 8:15.
Payton was so excited about his transformers, and Cameron didn't want to open anything after he saw his basketball hoop.
I got Nate a new set of scriptures, he has been asking since we got married (6 years) and was quite specific in what he wanted.
Nate got me a speaker for my ipod, and also teamed up with my mom and got me a cricut expression. I admit, I started crying because I was so happy. He definately spoiled me this year.

Overall, we had a wonderful holiday season. We are so blessed with a wonderful family and 2 handsome boys. I am thankful to Heavenly Father for all he has given us!
